Welcome to our newest installation of Epilepsy Niagara Services, The Pre & Post Employment Program!

The Pre & Post Employment Program will prepare you to enter (or re-enter) the workforce by providing a seminar and workshops designed to empower, educate and build
confidence.  This program will assist you in learning whether you’re ready to enter the workplace, or if you’re ready for a different path, such as school.
The program will also assist you in learning about your personality, skills, decision making, problem solving, understanding resumes and their purpose, and job interview
preparation.  You will also learn what employers expect from you, and your rights within the workplace.
The program will provide you with information about other agencies and resources available to you within the Niagara Region, and how they can benefit you and your job search,
education, and life path.
Epilepsy Niagara wants to make this the best possible experience and opportunity for you; feedback is important to us - your ideas and thoughts matter to us and can help in
improving this program for others.  Please fill out the daily surveys in the back of this workbook, remove it and hand in to the Executive Director at the end of every session.
You are encouraged to bring this home with you, but this MUST return with you for every session.  This is a workbook designed for you and your needs in mind.  This is a tool to be
used to assist you in learning more about yourself, how to empower yourself and how to create and attain reasonable goals.
The important message to remember is that Epilepsy Niagara cannot do the work for you; you have to take the important and necessary steps; you have to do the work; you have to
work towards the goals that you set for yourself.  We are here to show you how to do it, and to support you while doing it!  It is important to remember that we are here for you and
you are not alone.
Epilepsy Niagara is here for you during the beginning stages; we are here for you while you are making your decisions and creating goals; we are here to refer you to other agencies
that will best benefit you and your goals; and we are here for you when you are feeling unsure.
No matter what, we are dedicated to YOUR needs.
I truly hope that this will be an amazing experience for you.

Epilepsy Niagara is pleased to introduce our Peer Social Groups!

Peer Social is where a group of people who are living with or affected by epilepsy gather once per month to talk, share and support one another in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

This is not a restrictive program that demands for people to share everything - the level you want to participate is fully up to you!

Don't want to come alone?? Bring a friend or a family member with you!  This program is designed specifically to make everyone feel comfortable, safe and secure; there is absolutely no pressure to attend every session!  We understand that life can be hectic at times, and you are invited to come to any of our social group gatherings!
